Oprah.com premiered it’s new live web event last night at 9 PM/EST and for those of you interested in spiritual matters, it was pretty interesting. Every Monday, starting yesterday and going for the next 9 weeks, Oprah and author/spiritual teacher Eckart Tolle will be discussing different chapters of Mr. Tolle’s new book, A New Earth (Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose). Eckart Tolle is also the author of the best selling book, The Power of Now, and several works devoted to living a life of inner peace.

I am quick to make the jokes, but I am very impressed by Mr. Tolle, especially by the fact that he is not trying to change your mind about anything, but only to help you uncover what he feels is the essence of all mankind, that is, living in the now. I have only read the first two chapters of A New Earth, but I already sense the same feeling of truth that I felt when reading The Power of Now. I highly recommend both of these books, and suggest that you sign up on the site and see what all the hullabaloo is about.
