Watermelon Steak Recipe

Watermelon SteakLooking for a new way to enjoy watermelon? I tried this recipe for Grilled Watermelon Steak, and I absolutely love it!! It’s very nice for summer, makes a great side dish, super refreshing. The tangy tomato salsa goes fabulously with the light sweetness of the watermelon. Don’t think of it as a regular steak, it won’t fill you up like that, but it is delicious and easy to make. Full recipe after the break. (more…)

Chegg.com - Textbook Rentals!

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

Chegg LogoFor those of us chicks who are still in school, there are some universal truths that we all share: 1. Textbooks are expensive. 2. They do not generate the same amount of income when you sell them back.  3. Textbooks are lame.
Luckily, the lovely people at chegg.com have come up with a solution: Rent your books!! Woohoo!! You can rent the book for a super discounted price, and when you do, they plant a tree!  It’s a win/win situation.  You get your book for cheap and don’t have to worry about selling it back, they plant a tree and then Mother Nature is so grateful, she tries not to strike you with lightning the next time you litter.  I’m gonna go rent some more textbooks, and then feel very smug about how I saved the entire world.
